Karamelle Main Quest Line

wizard101 main quest line spiral

This guide is meant as a tool to follow your progress and keep an eye on the Karamelle Quest Line. It can also explain when a cheating Boss is coming up.

I list the quests you have to do in a certain area. The areas are listed in the order you should do them in (unless otherwise specified). The area is not always one hundred percent correct, as certain quests can require you to run back and forth between areas to talk to people. To simplify matters, I have not listed this kind of running; the quest will say “talk” but not where the NPC is located. Also, if there is only one quest in an area, I will not mention the area separately. Located between brackets are the different parts of each quest, as many quests require you to do multiple things.

I have divided the quests in the Spiral into the following groups:

  • Talk: Quests that require an interaction with an NPC.
  • Mob: Quests that require the defeat of regular monsters.
  • Elite: Quests that require the defeat of an elite creature.
  • D&C: Quests that require the collection of something from certain monsters (Defeat and Collect).
  • Boss: Quests that require the defeat of a boss. Elite monsters are not counted as bosses.
  • Minor Cheat: Quests that require defeating a boss that cheats a little (these cheats can generally be ignored).
  • Cheat: Quests that require the defeat of a cheating boss (these cheats will hinder normal gameplay somewhat).
  • Major Cheat: Quests the require the defeat of a cheating boss (these cheats will hinder normal gameplay significantly).
  • Solo: Quests you need to do alone.
  • Instance: Quests that require the completion of a place behind a sigil with at least 2 battles.
  • Interact: Quests that require interaction with a certain object.
  • Explore: Quests that just require you to run towards a certain area, NPC or item.
  • Photomancy: Quests that require you to take a picture of an object using Photomancy
  • Play as Your Pet: Quests that require you to utilize the Play as Your Pet feature

The Karamelle Quest Line is the first in the main storyline to utilize either Photomancy or Play as Your Pet. Pretty cool, right? In addition to that, The Karamelle quest line contains 80 quests, many of which involve walking and talking.

Dakota's been playing Wizard101 for well over ten years now. He's seen a lot change in the game, and loves checking everything out on his trusty storm and death. Whenever an update comes out, you'll see him finding secrets and making strategies. While he does specialize in PvE, Dakota's no stranger to PvP, specializing in tournament PvP. However, if there's one thing he likes, its helping others in the Spiral.

  • 31 is misspelled. It’s “better”, as opposed to “beter”

    • Thanks for pointing it out. We will first verify against the actual name of the quest in the game as sometimes they are added like that. For the time being it will remain unless you can provide us with a screenshot of the quest name.

  • Maybe the game has moved on and I’m nowhere near the level of player I was, but I’d argue that the cheat mechanic in “The King is in the Building” is way too involved to qualify as a “minor cheat”: a cheat where killing all four enemies immediately ends the battle by having all players on our side die at once isn’t “minor” at all in my book!

(Apparently the cheat was stepped up quite a bit: it looks like a 1-on-4 fight against some fairly normal street mobs, but when X of the initial mobs are killed, each player automatically loses X/4 of their health, and the killed mobs are replaced by a corresponding mob of the opposite school. Fortunately, this cheat only happens once per battle sigil…)

  • Please add this to the list in the “All Main Quest line Guides” dropdown!

  • there’s 2 quests labelled 55 and 56

    • That is how instances work.

  • I really miss the old design of the main quest guides will the pluses, but now it looks a bit more confusing because most of the words are very close to each other. If you guys will ever fix that, it will be massively a great update. But I really am grateful that you guys have worked hard to make a quest guide for Karamelle asap.

  • Hi, quest 74 worm notice is actually a dungeon or instance. it is not just a talk quest, there are mobs.

    • Thanks for the note, however we mentioned those fights in the below quest as we mark instance quests separately.

  • quick pointing out, in the instance quest “Brudel Legend”, it’s a double boss. i’m not sure if it was a singular boss for you because you soloed it (making it a cheater), or if you just missed it. thanks for the guide! 😀

  • Quest #27 with the boss, its a cheat boss (no blades, if you dont hit at a certain time you recieve 6.5k damage appromately)

  • 49 is double bosses

  • This is likely a typo, or a result of copy pasting, but you duplicated 37 and 38. I know you usually do a similar format for instance quests, so it would be like 100 101 102 101 103 etc. But here, you went 37 38 37 38 37 39. Just thought you’d like to know.

    • Fixed! Many Thanks!

      • Also, on quest 27, you made “Explore” the wrong color. I know, I’m being absurd with the corrections, but I just thought you’d like to know.

  • i was waiting for this one! thank you!

  • Nice! I’m glad you took care of this topic! Not too many big cheaters, nor even all that many bosses in general, interesting!

    • The main crunch is probably how many instance quests there are, that put you against a few mobs and elites. There really aren’t any heavily challenging bosses except maybe soloing bun-dozer and Judge Veg. I’m happy you liked it!

  • Love this!!! Thanks

  • Thanks for putting this guide together! Will definitely be using this once live hits!

    A few corrections:

    – In quest 27, “Shaking Hans”, the Bundozer boss cheats. To my knowledge, if you don’t complete the fight in a certain amount of rounds, the Bundozer will auto-kill all wizards. (Minor Cheat, in my opinion)

    – In quest 38, “Can Haz Qhats!”, Copy-Qhat will cheat if you have <4 players by summoning a fifth enemy into the empty dual circle. (Minor Cheat, in my opinion)

    • I’ll check these! I didn’t have any cheats with them last week, and I soloed both of them.

      Many Thanks!
