Selenopolis Main Quest Line

wizard101 main quest line spiral

This guide is meant as a tool to follow your progress and keep an eye on the Selenopolis Quest Line. It can also explain when a cheating boss is coming up.

I list the quests you have to do in a certain area. The areas are listed in the order you should do them in (unless otherwise specified). The area is not always one hundred percent correct, as certain quests can require you to run back and forth between areas to talk to people. To simplify matters, I have not listed this kind of running; the quest will say “talk” but not where the NPC is located. Also, if there is only one quest in an area, I will not mention the area separately. Located between brackets are the different parts of each quest, as many quests require you to do multiple things.

I have divided the quests in the Spiral into the following groups:

  • Talk: Quests that require an interaction with an NPC.
  • Mob: Quests that require the defeat of regular monsters.
  • Elite: Quests that require the defeat of an elite creature.
  • D&C: Quests that require the collection of something from certain monsters (Defeat and Collect).
  • Boss: Quests that require the defeat of a boss. Elite monsters are not counted as bosses.
  • Minor Cheat: Quests that require defeating a boss that cheats a little (these cheats can generally be ignored).
  • Cheat: Quests that require the defeat of a cheating boss (these cheats will hinder normal gameplay somewhat).
  • Major Cheat: Quests the require the defeat of a cheating boss (these cheats will hinder normal gameplay significantly).
  • Solo: Quests you need to do alone.
  • Instance: Quests that require the completion of a place behind a sigil with at least 2 battles.
  • Interact: Quests that require interaction with a certain object.
  • Explore: Quests that just require you to run towards a certain area, NPC or item.
  • Collect: Quests that require you to collect multiple items from areas.
  • Photomancy: Quests that require you to take a picture of an object using Photomancy.
  • Play as Your Pet: Quests that require you to utilize the Play as Your Pet feature.
  • Investigate: Quests that require you to search and collect for clues.

Shadow

Shadow entered the Spiral in 2010 and has since been wandering the worlds seeking adventures and challenges. He knows his way around every aspect in Wizard101 to varying degrees but has untamed enthusiasm for team pvp and difficult bosses. On rare occasions Shadow dons a pirate hat and can be found swashbuckling around the Spiral in P101.

  • So many mistakes in this post, like what does “Minor Boss” even mean ?! I’m really surprised most of the boss are only considered “Minor Boss” (Minor Cheat?) when they’re Cheat or even Major Cheat (ex : Taking Tree with all his cheats is considered Minor xd, The Prophet and Enki The Heretic fight is considered Minor boss also (it’s more a Double Cheat fight)). The Final Act quest is a 4 boss not 3, again a mistake that shouldn’t appear. It seems no one took time to check if everything was correct. Please if you can fix everything thank you.

    • For reference this was my first time doing the main quest line guide so my interpretation of the definitions might not match the “difficulty’ of previous guides. But to elaborate a little more, I dual boxed this world with a myth and death wizard and I had created a 7 card deck for both. I don’t have max level wallaru gear but I did have top tier 150/160 gear that I’ve quested with for the last few updates. So since minor boss is defined as any cheat that doesn’t require me to change my strategy many of the bosses in this world meet that definition. For the most part for me to label the boss a Cheat or Major Cheat, I was looking for cheats to disrupted the cards I was able to use or required a deck change. I didn’t really deviate from Buff + Buff + AOE.

      • Yes yes, alright, maybe you consider them Minor “Boss”. First of all, my thing is, look at any other guide, they never used the terminology “Minor Boss” rather Minor CHEAT,
the boss ain’t minor, the cheat is ! Second of all, remember that not everyone gets to play as a duo or more, so please don’t use that as an excuse, just correct yourself.
Let me help you quest by quest and to prove you how a boss can hinder gameplay, according to your own rules (Minor Cheat: these cheats can generally be ignored /
Cheat: these cheats will hinder normal gameplay somewhat / Major Cheat: these cheats will hinder normal gameplay significantly)
        – 8. Taking Tree should be (Challenge Instance) – Cheat => swapping charms / traps is an hindrance to normal gameplay, can’t be ignored
        – 10. Moonbeam Bully could be Cheat, solo might be hard => buff every time you cast a spell can’t be ignored, especially if you solo
        – 13. Mummy Mander stay Boss (at least that you’ve got that correctly)
        – 18. > The Prophet should be Cheat, could even be Major Cheat => MUST kill the mobs before touching the boss hinder gameplay significantly, can’t be ignored
        > Enki The Heretic could be Cheat, solo might be hard => every attacks from Enki trigger a scald that get detonated after every 5th rounds for 200% damage, can’t be ignored by a solo
        – 19. Prophet x Enki should be Double Cheat => can’t blade with the prophet aura without getting damage, can’t be ignored
        – 23. Luminous Prophet could stay Minor Cheat but i’d consider not ignoring the late to battle cheat, up to you ig
        – 26. Tawaret should be Cheat => putting shields and forcing the wizard to hit a certain round can’t be ignored, it does hinder normal gameplay
        – 27. Thoth could be Cheat => even if its cheats are easily avoidable and not impactful, the cards in the deck thing can’t be ignored, it hinders the normal gameplay, up to you
        – 28. Anubis should be Major Cheat => lowering you HP to be able to hit the boss impacts gameplay significantly, and def can’t be ignored, could be simply Cheat up to you to choose
        – 29. Ra should be Cheat, could even be Major Cheat => having to sync charms / traps to kill impacts gameplay (significantly?) as well as being very annoying, it def can’t be ignored
        – 30. (Solo) – Cheat – Minor Cheat – Cheat – Cheat ;
(in order and considering you do it with a minion)
        > Fire Bard should be Cheat => the -65% shield can’t be ignored
        > Storm Bard stay Minor Cheat => ahah trap go brrr
        > Life Bard could be Cheat => Spirit armor stacking can’t be ignored, he can also heal every 5th round but its still a lil weak so up to you
        > Death Bard could be Cheat => Virulent Plague hinders gameplay but again up to you
(Side note for 30, idk why you wrote Minor-Minor-Minor-Major? if we follow the order, i’d say Major is the Death One ? if you could enlighten me please)
        – 31. (Challenge Instance) – Double Cheat – Cheat – Major Cheat ;
        > Drake Lockley x Quail should be Double Cheat => Quail literally denies you blading or traping, and Lockley hits you like a truck any time you take a breath, def can’t be ignored
        > Old Quack could be Cheat => cant blade hinders normal gameplay
        > Loon Knight should be Cheat => i mean bro spawns other ducks, every 3 round he hits heavily, it can’t be ignored
        – 32. Khonsu > (Challenge Instance) – Major Cheat
Let me break some other points you mentionned, changing your deck or not doesn’t mean a boss can’t be considered more than just a Minor Boss, Khonsu for example, you say its Major but
you could get away using the same deck since after beating the morph phase, Khonsu is just a buffed Lost Soul lmao (2x crit, not resist, no nothing). Well I hope you’ll consider my message, i don’t mean any disrespect i just want to make things clearer and correct of course. at the end you’re the one in power so you do you son

  • So, quest number 16 (You and Mimas). if you don’t kill the sentinel first, he’ll just bring back the other thing.
