Wizard101 Forbidden Library Gear Guide
Wizard101’s latest gauntlet, the Forbidden Library, presents a new set of gear and multiple ways to get it. Unlike past gauntlets, the Forbidden Library has a few different ways to obtain the gear. Gear can be acquired from farming the gear from bosses, using reagents to craft the gear (including hats, robes, boots and wands!), or obtaining the gear from the companion pack released with the gauntlet.

Farming Archival Gear
There are three major fights in the gauntlet that appear to drop gear. The opening battle will drop the lower tier equipment pieces such as the Athames and Rings. The final fight of the main gauntlet quest will reward the upper tier equipment pieces. A third boss lurks in the gauntlet and drops the pets. Crafting Archival Gear
After completing the dungeon, a new NPC will spawn to the side of the main hall. Resembling one of the earlier mobs, the Wordsmith Archivist has recipes for level 50, 100, and 170 gear and will let you craft these pieces with Unreadable Ink. This reagent is exclusive to the dungeon and appears to drop from the final boss. If you’re familiar with the pity systems implemented in Wallaru, that is pretty much what this is.
Archival Gear Template
A quick reminder on how the gear templates work. Each set prioritizes the 3 stat attributes. This set mirrors the level 160 Night Mire template and is Defense 1, Offense 2, and Utility 3. This means the set will largely cater to defensive and offensive stats. Now lets check out the gear!
