Colossus Beastform Spells

The Beastmoon Hunt has returned with a plethora of new features and updates. While most are focused on the new forms and arena, the old spells were also given a makeover. As such, in order to reorganize the guides and update them, I am rewriting the spell guides for each form. Rather than being organized by school, they will instead be organized by form. This guide features the Colossus Beastform and its spells.

  • Evidently spirit spider’s heal ability hasn’t worked when i target a minion.

    • I believe the spell effect has changed since this post. It seems the team heal was removed and changed to a self heal, which only activates when the target is defeated and if the targeted enemy was a minion.

  • IMO there are WAY too many spells that interact with spells. Not just this form but most forms, like the Myth Rat. The problem is there are too few trap spells for them to work. In general Frostcrag’s offense has been nerfed hard and I like it, since he isn’t that much OP in Spiral anymore.Didn’t really do much testing but seems like he is well balanced (aside from the trap stuff)

  • Been playing Colossus lately and it feels wonderful being able to tank and hit when needed. Sniping a blade with Shielded Beetle offers incredible value, Sleet Snake hits as hard as the 1-pip hits from the more glass-cannony forms, and Cold-Fired Phoenix is an absolute monster of an AoE.

Also, having gotten to Level 5 on it last Beastmoon, Eternal Aegis is just plain cruel. Your opponents may be able to trade with it pip efficiently, but not card efficiently. There were multiple times I plopped down an Eternal Aegis at 5 or so pips in a 2v2 and the entire enemy team didn’t have enough cards to deal with it. This spell cements the Colossus as the stalling master.

    • Nerfed in Spiral, buffed in other circles I guess. Fire Elf is a hard counter to Eternal Aegis though.
