Krokopatra Boss Rematch

Tired of your max level wizards not being able to farm for spellements? Looking for some new challenging end game content? Rematches are here to give you exactly that! All 5 arc one final bosses are back with more power and cheats then before. In this article we will see what Krokopatra has in store!

Getting A Rematch

Rematches can be found from a new vendor in the Arena, Raquel. She will provide you with rematches from the end of world bosses from the first arc: Lord Nightshade, Krokopatra, Meowiarty, Jade Oni, and Malistaire. These rematches will require some crafting. To craft the Krokopatra rematch you will need 50 perfect amethyst, 50 parchment, and 4 ancient scrolls. Raquel also sells recharges for the gauntlets. Recharges allow you to fight the boss again without paying the full price for the gauntlet. Krokopatra’s recharge will cost 50 perfect amethyst, 20 parchment, 2 ancient scrolls, and the rematch trophy. The trophy can be obtained by beating the Krokopatra rematch. After beating Krokopatra, go back to your house and pick up the trophy where you placed the rematch.

Level Bands

There are 3 tiers for each boss, a level 1-50, a level 51-100, and a level 101+ version. To get the level 50 boss you must be level 50 and under. The fight will scale to the owner’s level. For example, if the owner is level 50 and goes in with three level 150 wizards, you will be given the level 50 version of the fight.

The Fight

Below is the max level version of the fight. The level 50 and level 100 versions play out the same just with lower stats and weaker spells.

Cheats

Krokopatra will also have some cheats to slow you down. Her main cheat is in the form of an AOE insane bolt which has various triggers.

“Your queen has no patience for tardiness!” If a wizard joins the battle late, Krokopatra will cast insane bolt on all wizards
“I will not be triumphed over” If a wizard casts a storm dispel on Krokopatra, she will cast insane bolt on all wizards
“I feel alive” If Krokopatra has a heal over time at the end of the turn, she will cast Thundering Jinn
“You dare strike your queen” If Krokopatra is hit, she will cast Insane Bolt on all wizards
“I shrug off such paltry magic” If a wizard casts a DOT on Krokopatra, she will cast Kraken, removing the DOT
“You can’t charm me” If a blade or global spell is cast, Krokopatra will cast enfeeble on all enemies or healing current on herself.
“You can’t weaken the queen” If a wizard casts a juju or other weakness spell, Krokopatra will cast Hammer of Thor.
“Your clumsy feints are no match for my grace” If a feint is cast, the boss will cast normal insane bolt followed by an AOE version of insane bolt.

Strategy

You may think all those cheats look overwhelming, but once you develop a strategy they are not too bad. This fight can easily be done in 1 or 2 turns. Traps are going to be your best friend in this fight. Using Backdraft on a fire can create some big traps which will allow you to easily kill the boss. Below is a strategy that can be used for a team with 2 fire wizards. Do not worry, if you are lacking some fire wizards, just use your schools traps and take an extra turn to trap if you need. My fire was able to do this strategy with 180% damage and was doing 11k. This is cutting it close to kill, so using another turn to trap may be smart if you are lacking some damage.

Turn 1 Potent Backdraft Any fire trap Any fire trap Phoenix

Rewards

One of the main rewards from doing rematches is Azoth. Azoth can help you upgrade your guild along with craft many useful items. If you are looking for spellements, Krokopatra drops all the rank 3 spells. If cantrips are more your thing, the spell To The Oasis can also be learned from beating the boss. Similar to other housing gauntlets bosses, she will also drop a trophy. However, unlike previous gauntlet bosses this trophy can be used to craft the duel again at a lower price. You will NOT earn any loot from fighting a boss lower than your appropriate level.

Conclusion

Overall, these rematches have been very fun to try out. They have provided some nice challenging content with some sweet spellement rewards to upgrade your spells.

Jacob has been playing Wizard101 ever since he was a kid. Currently, he has 3 max level wizards and 2 max level pirates. He absolutely loves PvE! Making guides for the newest worlds and bosses is one of his favorite things to write about. If you ever see him around the spiral, feel free to say hello!

  • But doesn’t she remove traps?

  • Under the strategy section, you misspelled “Phoenix”. You accidentally typed “Pheonix”. Just figured you’d like to know.

    • Fixed alongside a few other typos. Thanks

  • OK – I have tried this and it can be soloed on a Death – Trap, Trap, Trap, Trap, Hit.

I think use the Balance Spell “Hex” triggers a cheat with double Djinn/Insane Bolt – basically just blitzes you

use a mix of traps/potent trap/spirit trap. I pack a few Storm shields – but with 60% pierce – not of great value.
