Back to Basics Spell Ideas: Storm
Welcome once again to another spell idea article! In celebration of Wizard101’s ten year anniversary, I designed some spells that revamp some familiar mechanics with some unique twists. We are going back to the basics with a new blade, shield and convert for each of the 7 main schools of magic.
Much as all the original blades, shields and converts were 0 pips, these new spells will all be 1 pip to reflect their increased power. Today we will be introducing the Storm school version of these spells. All cards created with Legends of The Spiral’s Card Creator!
- Name: CRITICAL OVER!!!
just kidding it’s Power Surge- Type: Positive Charm (Blade)
- Accuracy: 100%
- Cost: 1 pip
Description: The next critical storm attack will boost damage 20% more
Explanation: A blade that boosts the damage a critical attack will do. In PvE the next critical will deal 120% damage (instead of it’s usual 100%). In PvP it will deal 50% damage (instead of its usual 30%)
- Name: Negative Feedback
- Type: Positive Ward (Shield)
- Accuracy: 100%
- Cost: 1 pip
Description: -70% to next incoming attack and cast a wild bolt at attacker when this shield is activated by an attack
Explanation: A shield that when broken will cast a wild bolt at the attacker. Said wild bolt will act like a may cast (it wont use pips) however it will be un-enhanced and will remain random. Removing the shield with a manipulation such as pierce or shatter will not trigger the wild bolt.
- Name: Reverse Polarity
- Type: Manipulation
- Accuracy: 100%
- Cost: 1 pip
Description: Convert a numerical negative charm on self or friendly target to a positive charm and halve the value
Explanation: A powerful conversion tool that turns a negative charm into a positive but remains balanced by halving the value. For example: an efreet -90% weakness would become a +45% blade, a 35% accuracy debuff would become a 18% accuracy buff etc. Non-numerical negative charms such as dispels would be unaffected.
