Christmas in Wizard101
Here we are again, it’s the most wonderful time of the year! Wizard101 Yuletide is here to celebrate Christmas! The event usually starts in early December, and lasts until early January. You’ll know it has begun when Felix Navidad appears in the Shopping District. Yuletide is one of the biggest events in the game, celebrating both Christmas and New Year’s, and even appearing another 6 months later for Christmas in July too! As such, there are plenty of exclusive gear, pets, mounts, housing items and packs available! Christmas in July has all the same items and packs available, if you need your Christmas kick in the summer heat.
This guide will cover everything you can do, farm for, or purchase during the Yuletide season. There are usually bundles of food, party, or festive-related items as well. As always, Lord Nightshade in Haunted Cave, Wizard City is a reliable source of most, if not all, dropped gear. Lord Nightshade and Jade Oni are both popular farming spots during Holiday events and should be the first place you go to for Holiday stitch items!
12 Days of the Spiral
Yuletide is the season of giving. With the 12 Days of the Spiral, KingsIsle give us a different reason to celebrate every day! As we count down the days until Christmas, we are also treated to various free giveaway codes for housing items, packs or Crowns, new packs and mounts, festive contests, discounts on holiday items, packs or bundles, and Crowns sales! Several housing items make return appearances every year, like different colored and shaped present boxes and festive string lights. The 12 Days of the Spiral are different every year, but make sure you stay up to date on Wizard101’s social media channels to get any free codes.
Christmas Dungeons
Have you been naughty or nice? Krampus will decide! This Yuletide-exclusive boss will appear in various places throughout the Spiral during the season. You can find Krampus’ Yuletide Feasting Hall in Ravenwood and Colossus Boulevard, Wizard City, Celestia Base Camp, Celestia, and Walruskberg Harbor, Polaris. Krampus has three tiers of difficulty, and will scale to the lowest level wizard in the fight. You need a Gold Key to enter, no matter what level you are. See our Krampus guide for all the details and how to defeat this horned demon.
Festive Spells
There are two Yuletide-exclusive spells to add to your collection. These used to be dropped from Loremaster, but since the Summer 2022 update, she no longer drops spellements for any spell except her own. This year, find your Krampus and Reindeer Knight spellements at the gold key boss, Krampus.
Although Reindeer Knight is not currently craftable, the Krampus spell is. If you don’t get enough spellements, you may get enough treasure cards to be able to craft the spell instead. Find the recipe at Master Yan Kan Kook, in Shirataki Temple, Mooshu, all year round. If you’d rather open packs for the spells, the Gingerbread Pack, Winter Wonder Pack, and Yule Logger Packs drop both spells. Krampus can additionally be found in the Winterland Pack and Yuletide Pack. Reindeer Knight can also be found in the Yuletide Mornings Pack.
Seasonal Fish
Even the fish are celebrating the Yuletide season! There are 2 Seasonal Fish to collect, and they usually appear in world hub areas and Castles. The places I recommend searching for them are below.

Candy-Cane Mounts
The Candy-Cane mounts are a staple of the Yuletide season. There are 6 to collect, and all are obtainable by in various different ways. The Blue, Green and Red Candy-Canes are possible drops from Krampus (at all tiers). All 6 mounts are found in every Yuletide-exclusive pack (listed below). They are also all obtainable as drops from the Boon Tree plant. If you just want a fancy mount just for a day, Prospector Zeke sells 1-Day versions of all 6 Candy-Canes for 3,000 Gold during Yuletide. When these mounts make an appearance in the Crown Shop, they are all priced at 3,750 Crowns each.

Nope, we still haven’t covered all the housing items! If you have a few Crowns to spare, there are a few offerings in the Crown Shop. I wouldn’t recommend using your precious Crowns unless it’s something you really want, though. Many other exclusive housing items will also make appearances as part of housing bundles, in 12 Days of the Spiral giveaway codes, as rewards in Crowns Reward Events, and in packs. You can also get some festive items by completing Daily Assignments. By just playing the game, you will probably receive some festive decorations!

Teleport Effects
These teleport effects are sometimes in the Crown Shop, and sometimes rewards from a Crowns Reward Event during the Yuletide celebrations. Here’s to hoping they both make an appearance in the Crown Shop soon! There is also the Auld Lang Syne emote, but it has only been available as part of Crowns Reward Events in the past, so there isn’t much information about it.
