Back To Basics Spell Ideas: Balance
Welcome once again to another spell idea article! In celebration of Wizard101’s ten year anniversary, I designed some spells that revamp some familiar mechanics with some unique twists. We are going back to the basics with a new blade, shield and convert for each of the 7 main schools of magic.
Much like all the original blades, shields and converts were 0 pips, these new spells will all be 1 pip to reflect their increased power. Today we will be introducing the Balance school version of these spells. All cards created with Legends of The Spiral’s Card Creator!
Balance Spells
- Name: Mimetic Blade
- Type: Positive Charm (Blade)
- Accuracy: 100%
- Cost: 1 pip
Description: Cast a Balanceblade that mimics the power of the strongest enemy blade on the field
Explanation: A powerful charm spell that allows balance access to blades more powerful than their standard +25%. This blade’s power is dependent on the enemy team having a blade but the potential it offers is amazing.
- Name: Palisade Shield
- Type: Positive Ward (Shield)
- Accuracy: 100%
- Cost: 1 pip
Description: Cast a 70% shield that will activate on the next incoming spell that costs more than the caster’s current pip level
Explanation: A powerful shield that is almost impossible to wand off due to its activation criteria. This shield will only activate on spells that cost more than the caster’s current pip level at the time the attack is incoming. This means that pip management and attention to detail become vital. That or pierce….
- Name: Astral Projection
- Type: Positive Aura
- Accuracy: 100%
- Cost: 1 pip
Description: Convert balance damage to moon damage for 4 rounds
Explanation: Balance has been asking for a convert to deal with balance bosses for the longest time and this spell provides them with one. Converting to moon damage also retains Balance’s unique qualities of having no specific buffs and debuffs while still allowing them an easier time in PvE.
