Monstrology Creatures List
Empyrea

This post’s sole purpose is to collect and display the data of every monster available in Monstrology. Because of the sheer amount of monsters available in the entire game, this article will only display those available in Empyrea. The guide is organized by the creature’s name in alphabetical order. The creatures listed below can have their Animus captured through Extract Pig, Elephant, Treant, Undead, Spider, Golem, Wyrm and Insect. Additionally, each monster’s name has been color coded and marked with a letter next to the creatures’ name so you can know which spell to use on them. The colors and letters are as you can see below.

With his main focus in Wizard101 PvE, you will find Cody knee deep fighting one of the Spiral's major bosses with an army of wizards at his disposal. Proficient in quite a few other areas of the game such as gardening, fishing, and most of all monstrology. Why monstrology? He chases after every single creature out there and catalogs them for all to see!

  • Sorry a wanna get The Terror animus for main house . So far a get al Avalon dragons and 2 dragons from gauntlets.keen you tell me wat animus spell a need for The Terror animus its in Empyrea, Pleas and sorry main inglis is bad,

  • It’s good that KI has fixed so many issues with Monstrology, but I still wonder if they purposely chose to not include Poison Oak. It definitely looks like a Treant to me, like the Green Men in Wysteria, so I don’t see why it shouldn’t be included.

  • if it is collectable in monstrology, it is a repeatable fight.

  • Shouldnt the natives of empyrea be collected by gobbler monstrology? i mean both empyrea and now karamelle explicitly state that gobblers and the empyrea natives are the same creatures.

  • Can we have a list per card on the monsters for each card? I am searching Google for a list of monsters for the Undead monstrology card so I know which monsters I can use the card on and can’t find it. Seems like there is not a good manual to explain how to play this.

    • Unfortunately, what you are suggesting is just not practical enough for these guides. Some extract spells like undead simply have too many creatures.
There are alternatives however. You can either go through all the lists and look for creatures by the color name and letter. For instance, I labelled Undead with (U) and colored their name purple. All that is explained above.
Alternatively, you can download the excel tome I made and look through it for undeads.

  • im stumped at the ashen death monkey spider. so if i didnt get him te first time i entered the dungeon i cant get him again?

    • I’ve bugged this several times but it hasn’t been fixed yet. Technically, you can port back to that area with the sigils in it and you can repeat the dungeon, but you need to port to someone who has the quest to go there. The instance should be repeatable, but they forgot to add the port to area on the boat in Mandalla.

  • Beets ( Aeriel Shores – Beastman Fight Club) is undead

    • Did you manage to extract it? Last time I checked it wasn’t extractable :/

      • You are correct, i just tried and could not extract undead animus from beets.
        Is this a bug?

        • I don’t think so. While the creature may be considered as an undead, Kingsisle stated that creatures summoned by other creatures (through cheats) do not qualify for monstrology. Of course, this creates a lot of issues for many creatures that were already added in.

  • I believe you are missing fear of grimlins, which is now retired.

  • Have you tried Poison Oak and the Shade of Sycorax in Part 1? Poison Oak is a treant, and Sycorax looks pretty ghostly so could be undead, but I can’t remember if her instance is repeatable. I would’ve thought Dynt was undead, but if the Admiral isn’t then I guess he isn’t either. These guides are great!

    • Thanks for the reminder! Just tried them right now and it’s a no for both. Poison Oak didn’t drop any animus with the Extract Treant spell, and the dungeon where Shade of Sycorax is located can be accessed again but the creature doesn’t spawn.

  • Have you tried Poison Oak and the Shade of Sycorax from Part 1? I’m sure that Poison Oak should drop animus since he is literally a treant, and Sycorax looks pretty spectral so she could be undead (although I can’t remember if her instance is repeatable or not). Before Part 2 I would have tried Dynt since he kinda looks undead, but I guess if The Admiral doesn’t drop any, then he shouldn’t either. Great guide!

    • Oops double post sorry, the first one didn’t appear
