Did you know that there are some very cool-looking wands that you can craft? There are some in Grizzleheim, some in Khrysalis and some in Celestia. The crafted wands from Celestia are today’s topic!

Crafted Wands from Celestia

When you head to The Floating Land in Celestia, you will find Quentin Chamberlain, a Marleybonian Wand & Deck Recipe Vendor. The wands he sells are all very sparkly. You need an Equipment Crafting station to craft them. You can buy one from one of the Furniture Vendors in the Spiral; my favorite is the one in Jade Palace, Mooshu.

For this guide, I called in the help of my friend Wolf FairyForge, who is a wand enthusiast and recently crafted each of these wands. I will have him chime in every now and again in this guide with his expert advice and opinions.

I have done some copy-pasting in this guide, because many of these recipes use the same ingredients. The hardest ingredients to get are probably the Sunstones and the Aether. However, they’re nowhere as hard to craft as the crafted houses, like the Watchtower Hall. Each of these recipes requires a Treasure Card version of the level 42 spell each school gets.

So, before we begin, do you have any starting tips for crafters, Wolf?
If you don’t have membership, these recipes can be a struggle. Also: you might want to get gold first before you start ’cause you will need a lot of it!

everlasting staff

1. Everlasting Staff

You will need:

  • 4 Centaur Treasure Cards
  • 3 Perfect Jade
  • 3 Pristine Vial
  • 7 Sunstone
  • 12 Aether
  • 16 Scales
  • 15 Black Pearl

Where to find the reagents for the Everlasting Staff

Bazaar:

  • 12 Aether: If hanging out in the Bazaar fits your wizardly habits, you can find a few Aether in the Bazaar at most times. Aether can be transmuted as well from Kelp with the recipe from Avery Templeton (Celestia Base Camp) of Kimba Kalla (Floating Land, CL). You could do the same as for the Sandstones and ask a friend that gardens to sell some in the Bazaar. Evil Magma Peas, Deadly Helephant Ears and (once again) Maelstorm Snap Dragons drop this reagent.
  • 16 Scales: You can get these in the Bazaar, though the amount available varies. Scales can also be transmuted from Fish Fins with the recipe sold by Avery Templeton (Celestia Base Camp) or Kimba Kalla (Floating Land, CL). For the gardeners amongst you: Maelstrom Snap Dragon drop this reagent.

TC Vendor:

  • 4 Centaur Treasure Cards: You could try the Bazaar, but they’re not in ample supply there. I got lucky and found 4 waiting for me when I first checked! However, a much easier solution would be to visit Una Moondancer (the TC Vendor) in Bastion, Khrysalis.

Reagent Vendor:

  • 3 Perfect Jade: Sold by the Reagent Vendors in Celestia, Zafaria, Avalon and Azteca
  • 3 Pristine Vial: Also sold by the Reagent Vendors in Celestia, Zafaria, Avalon and Azteca (Maelstrom Snap Dragon drops both of these reagents as well, in case you prefer to garden)

Transmuting:

  • 7 Sunstones: Not sure if you have noticed in my crafting guides, but sometimes I suggest you get your Sunstones by waiting in the Bazaar until you get lucky, and sometimes I tell you to transmute. This time, I’m on the transmuting side! What I’d personally do this time would be to ask a friend that gardens Evil Magma Peas to sell their Sanstones. If you garden them yourself, great! You should have plenty of Sandstones then! Transmute those to Sunstone using the transmute recipe from Avery Templeton (Celestia Base Camp) or Kimba Kalla (Floating Land, CL).
  • 15 Black Pearl: This is a rare reagent, sometimes acquired when picking up regular Pearls or Black Lotus. Apart from spending a fortune at the Bazaar, you can get them by transmuting 15 Black Lotus. Buy the Transmute Black Pearl recipe from Avery Templeton in Celestia Base Camp. Where to find Black Lotus? I wrote all about that in my Mooshu crafting guide.
What did you find the hardest in this recipe, Wolf?
The Centaur TC were a struggle! They just DON’T EXIST in the Bazaar! You finding 4 of them in the Bazaar without trouble makes you very lucky, Misthead.

rod of rim

2. Rod of Rime

You will need:

Where to find the reagents for the Rod of Rime

Bazaar:

  • 4 Colossus TC: There were 100 Colossus available in the Bazaar (amongst the Ice TC) when I checked. Una Moondancer in the Bastion in Khrysalis sells these as well, in case the Bazaar runs out.
  • 17 Scales: You can get these in the Bazaar, though the amount available varies. Scales can also be transmuted from Fish Fins with the recipe sold by Avery Templeton (Celestia Base Camp) or Kimba Kalla (Floating Land, CL). For the gardeners amongst you: Maelstrom Snap Dragon drop this reagent.

  • 3 Pristine Vial: Sold by the Reagent Vendors in Celestia, Zafaria, Avalon and Azteca.

Transmuting:

  • 7 Sunstones: As I said in the previous recipe: I’d ask a friend that gardens Evil Magma Peas to sell their Sanstones. If you garden them yourself, great! You should have plenty of Sandstones then! Transmute those to Sunstone using the transmute recipe from Avery Templeton (Celestia Base Camp) or Kimba Kalla (Floating Land, CL).
  • 16 Black Pearl: This is a rare reagent, sometimes acquired when picking up regular Pearls or Black Lotus.
Do you have a favorite spot for collecting reagents?
I do for Aether! Sometimes I head to Crab Alley to farm creatures. The Riverclaw Guards there drop both Aether and Kelp.

Bazaar:

  • 4 Hydra Treasure Cards: There were plenty of Hydra TCs available in the Bazaar when I checked. Una Moondancer in the Bastion in Khrysalis sells these as well, in case the Bazaar runs out.

  • 10 Fire Blossoms: There were 178 Fire Blossoms available in the Bazaar when I checked.

Where did you get the Aether for this recipe, Wolf?
I mostly Bazaar hunt. That’s why I warned that you will need a lot of gold if you will be crafting these wands. Crab alley is another source of both Kelp and Aether.

If you’d have to choose between bazaar farming, gardening, farming mobs, transmuting or collecting reagents, which one do you prefer?

I prefer Bazaar farming. Sometimes I farm the Bazaar to transmute stuff. I just organize the reagents by number of reagents available and buy the rare ones that show up on top. Backup reagents are always good. I also get a lot of reagents from questing and such.

How long did crafting these wands take you?
There are 7 wands, so… These took me 6-8 days. The cool down time for each of these wands is 18 hours without membership and 9 hours with membership. I don’t use the Crafting Elixir from the Crowns Shop to reset my Crafting slots; I just wait.

Which of these wands do you personally like the most, Wolf?
Favorite wand? :O Let me see… I personally love the Everlasting Staff and the Storied Spyglass, as they glow a lot, and show a unique way of a wand. However, Duelist101’s Dragonclaw Blade is still the best wand around 😉
