Wizard101 Novus Spells

Fall Test Realm is here, it brings us a new world, school specific pips and also 7 new spells! But this time they’re not shadow enchanted, instead each school gets a spell that requires a pip (or pips) from a different school.  In order to get these spells you need to speak with Maulwurf von Trap near Sybil in Arcanum and complete a quest ‘Something Wicked That Way Goes’.

  • I’m an ice wizard main and the ice spell is actually great. It’s now up to 4 blades removed (from the ENEMY! not a gambit) to replace them with storm weaknesses. This is a great attack against a storm boss who blades up and attacks constantly.

  • yuck! getting too complicated!

  • So how can I get my spell book pulled up in a fight to change the spell I need to beable to use my new card?

  • I think the spell animations are friggin’ awesome, but I’m kind of bummed by how they’ve set up the archmastery skill. At level 150-160 it’s fine, but for all my lower level wizards, casting lore spells has become super inconvenient. I don’t know why they had to mess with those; spells like RatSpin and Ship of Fools have been relied on by lower level Life and Death wizards for the longest time, since they don’t get 4 pip AOEs on their own. It’s pretty frustrating.

BTW – The Deathly Depths (ice spell) card image isn’t showing up.

    • Thanks, fixed.

      • What did they do to the spells?

    • What did they do to the spells?

  • These spells are all really bad for PvE. I hope that this isn’t KI’s approach going forward, but I’m pretty worried.

  • I wonder if Novus has any Monstrology creatures
