Crafted level 76 Block Boots
from Avalon and Azteca
The two main sources of Critical Block at top level are from Boots and Wands, so it is of paramount importance to get as much as possible from these items. In terms of boots, the crafted versions have always been the largest available source.

If you’re an aspiring PvP player, it is important to realize that — at high level — having a decent amount of Block is a vital part of any PvP’ers gear. The gear pieces with the highest Block amounts are Wands and Boots. This means you should try to get as much Block as possible on both of them. In this article, I will show you where to find the recipes for crafted Block Boots in Avalon and Azteca, as well as where to get the ingredients for the recipes.
Avalon Crafted Block Boots
Where? The Crafting Recipe Vendor, called Shane MacGobhann, can be found inThe Wild, Avalon. Look at your map: the area is labeled Toad Stool Village.
Limitations? To buy the recipe, you need to be a Legendary Crafter. You do not need to quest to Avalon first, but to use the Boots, you need to be level 76 or higher.
Difficulty? Many of the boots have the same ingredients, in slightly different quantities. Crafting them is a little easier than the Azteca ones, but the difference isn’t that huge. Besides, aren’t great boots worth a little extra effort?
Azteca Crafted Block Boots
Where? The Recipe Vendor is called Popol Vuh Whitepaper and is situated 
in Alto Alto, Azteca. When you’ve quested to this area, there should be a little picture of an open book on your map.
Limitations? You need to quest to Azteca and do the quests that make Popul appear. This means Popul will be invisible to you if you haven’t quested to him yet! You also need to be level 86+. You have to be a Trascendent Crafter to craft these. If you are level 86+ already, going for the Azteca Boots is the smartest move, as they have most Block, Damage, Health and Resist. If you’re only level 76+, you could craft the Avalon Boots right now, and the Azteca Boots later. If you only have the resources or the patience for ONE of them, wait until you’re level 86.
Difficulty? They’re a little harder to craft than the Avalon boots, due to the Turquoise needed, but it’s not an incredibly high amount of Turquoise, luckily.
The Recipes
The Boot Crafting Recipe ingredients are pretty similar for the different schools, but there are small differences. I’ve organized the boots by school. Find your school and learn about the ingredients for your recipes and the possible places to acquire them.

12 x Ancient Scroll
- A rare drop from Parchment.
- You can transmute 15 Parchment into 1 Ancient Scroll, using the Transmute Recipe sold by the following Recipe Vendors: Wul’yahm (The Oasis, Krokotopia), Avery Templeton (Celestia Base Camp) or Kimba Kalla (Floating Land, Celestia)
- You can get Parchment mainly from Krokotopia
- Available in the Bazaar (75 available when I checked).
10 x Fossil 
- A rare drop from Stone Block.
- You can transmute 15 Stone Block into 1 Fossil, using the Transmute Recipe sold by the Dragonspyre or Celestia Crafting Recipe Vendors.
- Collect Stone Block at the locations in this guide.
- Also drops in Winterbane Hall.
- Rare in the Bazaar.
8 x Parchment 
- You can harvest these in the Spiral. They’re especially common in Krokotopia. I recommended the Entrance Hall in another guide, see this guide for more information.
- Common drop by most bosses in Avalon.
- Found in these packs: Keeper’s Lore, Ninja’s Lore, Pharao’s Hoard, Shaman’s Lore.
7 x Spider Silk
- These can be found in the Bazaar (69 available when I checked).
- You can transmute 5 Ectoplasm into 1 Spider Silk (recipe from Recipe Vendors in Mooshu and Dragonspyre).
- Cannot be harvested in the Spiral.
- Also drops in Winterbane Hall.
5 x Fish Fin 
- These can be found in the Bazaar (7 available when I checked).
- Is dropped by most underwater bosses in Celestia.
- You can transmute 5 Scales into 1 Fish Fin, with the Transmute Recipe bought by the Recipe Vendors in Celestia.

- These can be found in the Bazaar (100 available when I checked).
- Dropped in Winterbane Hall.
- Can be bought from Treasure Card Vendore Ulla MoonDancer in Bastion in Khrysalis for 1200 gold.
5 x Fortify Treasure Card 
- Again, the Bazaar: 100 available when I checked.
- Available for 1000 gold from the Treasure Card Vendors in Khrysalis (Ulla Moondancer, Bastion) and Celestia (The Archivist, District of the Stars).
10 x Agave Leaves 
- The best location in Azteca is Mangrove Marsh: there are 4 spawning spots for Agave Leaves near the mobs called Left Talon of the Sky .
- Sold by Brandon Mistborn (Unicorn, Way, Wizard City) for 400 Arena Tickets.

A rare harvest from Sand Stone.- Can be transmuted: 15 Sand Stones make 1 Sunstone. Use the recipe sold by the Recipe Vendors in Celestia (Avery and Kimba Kalla)
- Sandstone can mainly be found in Zafaria (Savannah and Stone Town) and Khrysalis (Khonda Desert and Last Wood). It’s rare, so many people end up transmuting Stone Blocks to Sandstone and Sandstone to Sunstone. Read out Stone Block guide here.

7. Ice Crafted Boots
Ice has the choice of any of the Boots above. There are no boots specifically designed for Ice. In return for losing about 2% universal resist, Ice wizards gain double the critical block. What does this mean? Ice can craft the dual school block boots and compliment their mastery amulet any time they want!
