Monstrology Creatures List
Dungeons

This post’s sole purpose is to collect and display the data of every monster available in Monstrology. Because of the sheer amount of monsters available in the entire game, this article will only display those available in Dungeons. The guide is organised by the creature’s name in alphabetical order. The creatures listed below can have their Animus captured through Extract Undead, Spider, Golem, Insect, Elephant, Mander, Pig, Dino, Draconian, Treant and Colossus. Additionally, each monster’s name has been colour coded and marked with a letter next to the creatures’ name so you can know which spell to use on them. The colours and letters are as you can see below.

With his main focus in Wizard101 PvE, you will find Cody knee deep fighting one of the Spiral's major bosses with an army of wizards at his disposal. Proficient in quite a few other areas of the game such as gardening, fishing, and most of all monstrology. Why monstrology? He chases after every single creature out there and catalogs them for all to see!

  • ah, there’s so many cool ones to collect but to much work. thanks anyways for all the monstrology guides though!

  • The last one missing is the Forest Nymph Tier 3 but its bugged to be the tier 1 in tier 3, thus its missing since it doesnt exist. Kingsisle bug once more.

  • Shadow Malistaire?

    • Its Malistaire the Undying Rank 16 listed above. Shadow version cannot be extracted.

  • One that seems to be missing here is the Conscripted Mander from the Grand Tourney Arena Gauntlet…

    • That creature has been removed because it is summoned by another creature. Those type of creatures are not included in monstrology.

  • well i embarassed myslef. it is here but it is still missing from the excell version

    • Indeed! I just added it to the list a couple days ago. Updating the excel list is sadly not as easy. I usually wait for a couple of updates to accumulate and then update.

  • We won’t see it until the event comes up, but I think one of the missing ones from this section will be the Spellwrit Sand Stalker (Colossus) in the Grand Arena in Krokotopia from the Lost Pages Event.

I’m still trying to figure out the categorization system though. 4 of the creatures from Tower of the Helephant are in “Dungeons” and 6 are in “Wysteria”. Then you’ve got creatures from The Lost Pages and Five B.O.X.E.S. events in “Dungeons”, but the creatures from the Halloween Event are in “Wizard City”. I wish there was more consistent categorization.

Personally I think Tower of the Helephant should be like Waterworks, Briskbreeze, and other in-world dungeons like that where the creatures are shown in their respective worlds, not “Dungeons”. For the Halloween creatures, I think they belong in “Dungeons” with the other special event creatures. The world creatures should only be the ones you can get all day every day.

And thanks for continuing to maintain these lists. I haven’t been around since the old site, but I love the new lay out. I don’t play much anymore, but I come back every now and then when there are updates to things like fishing and Monstrology, and these are hands down the best organized and most comprehensive Monstrology lists out there.

    • Agree with everything you said. They definitely need to be more consistent with dungeon categorizing; it slightly annoys me, but hopefully they will fix update it in the future. I’m also so thankful Cody organizes these lists for everyone to see. 🙂

      • Thank you both for your kind words! You have absolutely no idea how much that means to me!

    • you are right the spellwrit stalker is one of the ones missing. i have caught him today
