Shift Spells from Khrysalis Part 2
Shift Spells are part of Moon Magic. They are single-round polymorphs that allow you to perform a creature‛s natural attack for one round, after which your Wizard reverts back to their original form.
Players who are level 98 or higher need to speak to Arkyn Moonblade in the Eclipse Tower to train these spells.
Note: These are Moon Spells, so they do not use your schools Power Pips, even if they do damage from your school. As Moon spells, none of these spells are free to any class.
These spells can be enchanted like other attacks. They can make use of Colossal, or if they have a blade effect, they can make use of Sharpened Blade. Currently (on test realm) the damage amount on the card does not update when Colossal is applied, however the damage dealt does change.
- They do not use your school-specific attack boost, but they DO use your universal attack boost. Having more Fire damage will not make Shift Grendel hit harder, but having more universal damage will. They do not have any innate damage boost.
- They do take boost from Auras. Amplify or Furnace will both cause Shift Grendel to do more damage. Empowerment Aura does not give you a pip for using a Shift, however, because it’s not an incoming spell.
- They ignore dispels. Fire dispel will not stop a Shift Grendel from working. A Moon Dispel probably would if we had those, but we don’t.
- Shift spells do make use of School-Specific blades and bubbles, as well as universal. Shift Grendel can be boosted with Fire Blade, Wyldfire, Balanceblade, etc.
- Shift spells can critical. School-specific critical does not work for them. It must be universal (like Vengeance).
- The Pierce effect from the new Global Spells does impact Shift damage.

Shift Grendel
The Level 98 Moon Spell for Fire

- Effect: 115 + 360 damage over 3 rounds plus adds one random accuracy ward (-25%, -45%, -65%) to the target
Shift Greenoak
The Level 98 Moon Spell for Life
- School: Moon (Life)
- Pips: 3
- Accuracy: 100%
- Effect: 340 Life School Damage and adds a -25% Damage charm to next spell for target plus a +25% Damage blade to next spell for Self
Note: Don’t let the green charm fool you, this leaves a Universal Blade, and can be enchanted with Sharpened Blade.

- Effect: 390 Balance School Damage plus adds +10% Armor Piercing and Accuracy to self
Shift Ogre
The Level 98 Moon Spell for Myth
- School: Myth

- Effect: 340 Myth School Damage and removes 1 ward and 1 charm from target
Note: This is no longer an “Earthquake” style effect, only removing 1 charm and ward, instead of all.
Shift Dread Paladin
The Level 98 Moon Spell for Ice
- School: Ice

- Accuracy: 100%
- Effect: 360 Ice School Damage plus adds one of three possible increases to incoming damage for the target (15%, 30% or 45%)
Shift Sugar Glider
The Level 98 Moon Spell for Death
- School: Death
- Pips: 3
- Accuracy: 100%
- Effect: 380 Death School Damage and adds a charm to the target for -25% to target’s outgoing damage and -50% to target’s next outgoing heal
