The Ultimate Challenge:
Revered Crafting!

There are 3 ranks that you can get from the Arcanum and Empyrea: Champion Crafter ,Visionary Crafter and Revered Crafter.  Champion Crafter is easily acquired by simply visiting the Forge of Legends, Visionary crafting is the usual crafting quest you need to progress, but Revered Crafter is for those who seek a real challenge!

1. A Crafty Note & Forging a Legend

Librarian Fitzhume will give you the quest “A Crafty Note” and send you to Ignus Ferric. Ignus will then talk about the legendary Forge inside the Arcanum, which has some unique abilities. After he finishes explaining this Forge, he gives you the quest to go inspect the Forge- “Forging A Legend. Upon doing so, you will receive the Champion Crafter badge.

2. Legendary Tomfoolery- Visionary Crafting

Librarian Fitzhume will give you the quest “Legendary Tomfoolery” and direct you to Ignus. Ignus will require you to craft a wand. It looks like every school has a different wand to craft, with different ingredients. As a Balance, I got to craft Jaki’s Legendary Bow. Here’s a link to the quest dialog.

This first quest isn’t very difficult. The three most difficult ingredients are perhaps the 25 Antiquities, the Stardust and the Vines that every recipe requires.

  • Antiquities can be found throughout Mirage- look for the sparkles on the ground, especially in the Rubal Wastes.
  • Stardust is dropped by Polarian and Empyrean bosses pretty often, and can also be picked up  or transmuted from Comet Tails.  Comet tails spawn very easily in the Courtyard of the shadow palace.
  • Vines are dropped by Polarian and Empyrean bosses, bought from Brandon Mistborn for 400 arena tickets, or harvested from certain plants.

Upon completing this quest, your crafting level will change to “Visionary Crafter.

2. Hi-Yo Silver Chest!

Once you craft the legendary wand, Ignus will give you a new quest to improve this item. He gives you a quest called “Hi-Yo Silver Chest!” For it, you will use the wand from the first quest in the recipe for the second quest! Quite cool! We’ve had something like that before in Aquila, but here it seems actually useful, because the second wand you craft will give you 11 energy! That’s more than Aphrodite’s wand (which gave 10) and less than the Winter Wonder pack wand (which gave 12).

However, this new wand is tricky to craft! It has many new reagents. The Revered Crafting quests have new kinds of reagents you’ll need to find:

  • Flying Squid Ink (A reagent you can get as a drop in combat in Empyrea. Click here to find out the best places to get this)
  • Shiny Scales (A reagent you can only find in fishing chests)
  • Participation Trophy (A reagent you can purchase with 800 arena tickets in the pet pavilion – or from the chests of daily assignments)
  • Aether Ore (A rare reagent you can get from picking up Aethyr Dust as a ground spawn item in the Spiral. Click here for a guide on how to acquire this)
  • Shocked Key (A reagent you can only find within silver chests, or as a rare harvest from Key Limes)

Upon completing this quest, your crafting level will change to “Revered Crafter.”

You can use your crafting badge to craft housing items and some new interesting gear. The gear requires Champion crafting rank, while the majority of the housing items require the new Revered crafting rank. Go visit Loligo in Aeriel Shores. Loligo also sells the Transmure Aethyr Ore recipe!

What do you think of the new reagents?
Are they too hard to get?

  • All I can say is Thank you! Your site has truly been a Final Bastion for me over the years! Love this game and this site! Amazing job and keep up the outstanding work! Can’t say enough good things about what you guys do!

  • there’s a skeleton key boss in crab alley called the spirit of ignorance that drops participation awards… i found out because i helped a lower level farm the boss for something completely different… the only downside though is that it requires a gold skeleton key

    • Participation trophies have since been dropped as a requirement, likely after KI realized that people would just exploit tournaments for arena tickets. As a result, this article is out of date.

  • why didn’t they reduce the Participation cost down 800 for arena tickets this sounds way too much since i don’t pvp since the system is so mess up its still broken system doesn’t matter if Ki decides to changed the spell or nerf its always gonna be BROKEN in Our thoughts but to us they should’ve dropped the price tickets on Participation Torphy since 800 cost is too much i hardly get tickets since pvp is boring even the Touranement is boring not really fun

  • holy moly crafting this final wand requires you to participate in every avenue of w101. Gonna have to start fishing and pvp -_-

  • You can get a ton of shock keys from planting key limes.
